Formosa Boulevard Station (originally called Dagangpu Station) is in Kaohsiung’s Xinxing District and is a station where the KMRT’s red and orange lines meet. The intersection of Datong Road and Zhongshan Road not far away from the station was the former site of Formosa magazine and the place where the 1979 Formosa Incident occurred. The station’s famous public art work, Dome of Light, was designed by an Italian designer Narcissus Quagliata;there is also a floor glass curtain wall work, Praying, by a Japanese designer.

Places of interest near the station are: Kaoshiung Post Office, Liuhe Night Market, Xinxing Market, Xinfeng Police Substation of Kaohsiung City Police, Nanhua Tourist Shopping Street, wedding street on Zhongshan Road and Zhongzheng Road.
